Aectual 2021 Screen Design Competition
Design-to-print platform Aectual invites designers and students to design a unique room divider screen.
Entries will be assessed by an internationally acclaimed jury comprising of none other than British designer Tom Dixon; Co-Founder of Thonik, Nikki Gonnissen; Editor-in-Chief of Elle Decoration NL, Evelien Reich; Director of Zaha Hadid Architects, Michele Pasca di Magliano; and Co-Founder House of DUS / Aectual, Martine de Wit.
The winning design will be manufactured and revealed at a festive ceremony during Dutch Design Week 2021 on Sunday, October 24 at 15:30, free to the public.
During Dutch Design Week, Aectual launches a collection of room dividers and office partition screens. The screens are made of a plant-based plastic that is entirely recyclable into newly printed products, and they are produced made-to-measure and on-demand only.
The first collection of screens, designed by House of DUS and a collaboration between Roos Meeder en Michiel Wijnen, varies from graphical and transparent hanging screens to standing room dividers.
The winner will be announced during a festive ceremony at the Aectual exhibition at Strijp R:
