(Archive) The Quiet Life Of Objects

Soft Space

How do objects exist when they aren’t used?
The installation invites us to take a closer look at things, their independent behavior in a space when they are left by human.

A composition of handmade textile objects

The installation displays a living room where time seems to stand still and objects seem to be the main actors. Hand bags, hands and hands on jars are grabbing your attention. They want to be touched and stared at, asking for understanding and softness. Sometimes they accept to be used sometimes they already contain the plants you wanted them to hold until decomposition. If chairs there are they will probably collapse into a pillow on the floor - being used until exhaustion. Finally they claim their own space, their own rights. Through an ode to the life of objects they hold traces of our existence and suggest to take it slow.
