Andrés Izquierdo's practice ranges from the production of domestic objects to architectural ones, in which often mystical and metaphysical questions raise through the perception of light and space, blend with earthly themes such as body and pleasure, rites and symbolism or apprehension and sexuality.
For the occasion Andrés has conceived the piece Anthropomorphic pillar. The negative of a column is carved on a solid block, its perception raises through what it is missing instead of what it physically there. The column, reminiscent of human features such as flesh, blood and guts reflects on the interior of the body’s viewer.
