DDW Young

Children and young people are the makers and creative thinkers of the future. Therefore, it is essential that they see and experience the value of design for our future world. Dutch Design Week is the perfect opportunity for both young and old to engage with designers in an accessible way and see how they work towards a positive future with an optimistic outlook.

Activity and Film

The workshop for children (up to 12 years old): "Your Superpower for the Earth: Create Your Own Activist Patch", is organized by Studio Meike Nieuwenhuis. In this workshop, children will learn about activism in a fun and playful way. They can use their creativity to design their own unique patch and show how they can help the earth!

Also featured is the film *Dead Man’s Clothes*, a project that explores what happens to second-hand clothing in Accra, a city in Ghana. The West sends more and more old clothes to Africa. Some of these clothes are sold in large markets, but many end up in landfills. This is both a way for people to earn money and a potential danger. This project is created by The OR Foundation.

Opening Hours: Open daily during DDW from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Location: Leidingstraat 43, Eindhoven Strijp-S (No. B7 on the DDW map).
