The South African design congress Design Indaba has put together a special quarantine playlist with talks by the most renowned speakers of recent years. Watch lectures by amongst others former DDW ambassadors Alice Rawsthorn and Winy Maas in the Design Indaba playlist.
2. Fabrique opens FabUniversity
Always been curious to learn more about customer journey mapping, design thinking, E-commerce, development or UX? During the corona quarantine, strategic design agency Fabrique opens their FabriqueUniversity. In the coming weeks, they will share various courses and talks with anyone who is interested! You can register for each event via the website.
3. IDFA shares 300 documentaries
A great initiative of International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA); on their website you can watch 300 documentaries for free! This will help you get through those quarantine days.
4. Stay at Home Stedelijk
Fancy a visit to the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam? Via 'Stay at Home Stedelijk' you can watch a short documentary or video about the collection every day at 16:00 hrs. You can also listen to podcasts and audio tours via Facebook and YouTube. In addition, the Stedelijk provides a weekly live tour via Instagram!
5. What Design Can Do calls for ideas
What Design Can Do invites you to share your creative ideas, initiatives and projects aimed at solving the corona crisis. You can e-mail your idea to comms@whatdesigncando.com and they will transfer it to their community on a large scale. Check the website for more information.
6. #FoamAtHome
The actual Foam photography museum in Amsterdam might be closed, but instead they created #FoamAtHome, a full online experience including exhibitions, artist Q&A’s, curator tours, magazine highlights, and talent features. Check it out here. You can also browse through fifty editions of FOAM Magazine on their Instagram.
7. MisteryMotley's overview of cancelled exhibitions
Since many exhibitions and events in the coming weeks have been cancelled, Mister Motley asked museums, institutions and artists to send them images and information from these cancelled programmes. The full overview can be found on their website.
