How Does Dutch Design Week Work?
For nine days, Eindhoven becomes a hub of creativity and groundbreaking ideas during Dutch Design Week (DDW). Rather than being held at a single location, DDW spreads across over 100 venues throughout the city, where you can discover how designers are shaping the future across a range of subjects.
You won’t be able to visit all these different locations in just one day. That’s why we offer you the flexibility to return as often as you like with a DDW wristband. As long as you wear your wristband, you can explore every location across the nine days for the price of just one day ticket.
How Can I Best Prepare for My Visit?
Check the Programme
On the programme page of our website, you’ll find everything happening during Dutch Design Week. Click on a project to see more information, including where it’s located and its opening times. You can also check if the location is accessible and whether you need a DDW ticket to enter.
Use the filter options to refine your search. Interested in a specific topic? Select it, and you’ll only see projects related to it. You can also filter by location, type of project (exhibition, workshop, or lecture, for example), or check out events happening on a particular day or time by choosing between day and night. You can even search by keyword!
Prefer something analogue? You can pick up a paper map at various locations during the week (or view it here on the website).
Or Follow a Route
Let us guide you through one of the routes curated by our programme team! Choose a theme like Thriving Planet or Health & Wellbeing. Visiting with kids? Follow one of the DDW Young routes!
How Do I Get a Wristband?
You can obtain a DDW wristband by purchasing a DDW ticket and exchanging it for a wristband at one of the designated locations (see the section ‘Exchange for a DDW Wristband’). The wristband grants you access to all DDW locations and projects for nine days.
How Can I Buy a DDW Ticket?
You can buy a ticket on our ticket page. Here you’ll find all the ticket information organised by topic, question, and answer. During the week at the door is also possible.
Buying online via this page or before Dutch Design Week starts will be cheaper than buying during the week itself. Coming with a group of 25 or more? Email us at tickets@dutchdesignfoundation.com.

How Do I Get from One Location to Another?
Dutch Design Week takes place across more than 100 locations in Eindhoven. The map provides a clear overview of what’s happening and where.
All DDW locations are easily accessible by bike, which is the ideal mode of transport. Most DDW venues are also well-connected by Eindhoven’s city buses. Additionally, with your DDW wristband, you can ride the XPENG Design Rides.
How Do I Know Where to Go During DDW?
Eindhoven will be filled with signs and directions to help you find your way during Dutch Design Week. If you’ve found projects in the programme you’d like to visit, check where they’re located and follow the signs.
You can also pick up a paper map at various locations or view the online version here on the website. The map provides a good overview of what’s happening and where.
Additionally, this year, we’re introducing the Dutch Design Week app. The app offers various features, including showing your exact location on the map and highlighting nearby projects and exhibitions. It even indicates pick-up points for the XPENG Design Rides. With its many useful filters, it helps you find exactly what you’re looking for.
Food & Drinks
Take a break during DDW at one of the many food and drink spots! Check out the programme to see where you can grab a bite or drink. Evenings can get busy, so it’s smart to book ahead. Want to keep the festival vibe going? Head to Ketelhuisplein! During opening hours, and even afterwards, it’s bustling around The Bar and nearby food trucks.
I Have Another Question, Where Can I Find the Answer?

You’ll find all ticket information organised by topic, question, and answer, the full programme overview with all locations, projects, and events, and general information about Dutch Design Week. There are also dedicated pages for accessibility and transport, as well as a list of frequently asked questions.
