Fuel, the exhibition about material, art, nature and transformation

"Fuel" is a unique art exhibition that celebrates the creativity of the community after the destruction of the World Tree in Wasven by fire. This fire burned a large part of the tree, but also fueled the fire of the community spirit. It symbolizes passion and transformation. It has led to innovative, artificial interventions by tree surgeons, who are treading new, unknown paths to save the tree.

The burnt branches have been revived by artists and designers. They have taken up the community spirit with their creativity and craftsmanship, creating works of art that reflect both the versatility and resilience of nature.

Fire as Fuel for Creation
Fire is created by the combination of fuel, oxygen and heat. This principle also applies to the creative process: inspiration, material and man come together to create new work, passion and ideas. The exhibition depicts this continuous circle of creation, in which the World Tree serves as a symbol of growth, connection and renewal.

The participating Artists and Designers

The participants in "Fuel" are a diverse group, ranging from established artists to emerging talents. From enthusiasts to residents of the Wasven. Their works reflect the themes of authenticity and artificiality, exploring the paradox of fire that both destroys and renews. Each object or expression is inspired by the wood of the tree and the story. Each approach offers a unique look at the dynamics of creation.

Community and Connection
This community is all about working together and enriching each other. "Fuel" invites visitors to participate in this connection and discover what we can create together. Be inspired by the power of art, nature, and the dynamics of creation that connect us. Fuel for community spirit.

Theme: Real and Unreal

In this exhibition we explore the tension between the real and the unreal. In a world where artificial elements are becoming more and more prominent, the artists wonder what authenticity means in an age of technology. How do old crafts relate to modern techniques? The works in the exhibition offer different perspectives on these questions, inviting visitors to reflect on what is authentic and what is the result of our contemporary creations.

This text and logo were designed in collaboration with Artificial Intelligence. Does this make it unreal? Does that change your opinion or perception? And is it so different from, say, an art director instructing a designer, or their collaboration?
