I started this research with the idea of putting the clothing industry under the microscope. I wanted to gain a better understanding of the vast web that is the clothing industry.
Anti-trend Generator
For my visual work, I have tried to address these various problems, for example, I have designed an anti-trend generator. With this anti-trend generator, I have put together outfits that artistically highlight the interchangeability of fashion trends. I want it to be an inspiration for all of us to escape from this capitalist, consumerist fashion industry.
A person’s identity is formed in their teenage years. My own search has also been influenced by social media, which for too long made me believe that I had to participate in this hectic consumer behavior.
Sustainability, respect for the material and the maker, originality and your own
personality will ensure that the balance between you and the world is in harmony.
Although the fashion industry makes us believe that beauty is external, we must not forget that inner beauty is capable of being creative and artistic in life in an original way.
