In this collaboration they unite their design experience and knowledge of materials to create a collection of luminaires, crafted almost entirely from recycled materials.
During DDW ‘24 vanPlestik and Blom&Blom will give a sneak peak of the first lamp from Mutualism.
This pendant light combines the modern technique of 3D printing with the traditional craft of copper casting. Bringing together two contrasting materials that both arise from re-melting pre-owned material; Transparent packaging plastic and copper scrap are transformed into a radiant pendant.
