Mono Wool

Regenerative Softness

Mono Wool Upholstery — © Felix Bernhard

‘Mono Wool’ is a 100% wool upholstery designed for local, circular and socially responsible production. Germany and Europe produces tonnes of raw wool as a waste product because the fibres are too coarse for clothing. This coarse wool is an excellent upholstery and cover material.

The Mono Wool cover is a 3D knitted structure with hollow spaces, filled with woolvlies and folded into a seat shell. Thanks to the 3D knitting technology, the upholstery fabric can be extracted by the machine as a finished part, eliminating the need for manual work-intensive processing steps.
