We rarely stop to think about how everyday products are created. Jasper van ‘t Wel takes you into the world of product design. From initial sketches to 3D printed prototypes. With Studio Jawel, he helps entrepreneurs develop sustainable products that last for generations.
Inventor and product designer
Jasper van ’t Wel (1997) is a creative inventor and product designer from the Netherlands. Jasper leverages his problem-solving skills to create solutions for a better world. This is exemplified in his campaign "A bag with bags," where he addressed the issue of accumulating shopping bags. Additionally, he assists online retailers in evolving from white-label products to high-quality product lines. Notably, in 2023, he designed ten products for the brand Barista-Essentials, which are now sold globally.
Studio Jawel
Jasper van ’t Wel launched his design studio, Studio Jawel, shortly after graduating in Industrial Product Design (2019) from the Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences. During this time, he collaborated with an entrepreneur seeking a solution for a sports-related challenge. Jasper developed a water system that enabled the entrepreneur to raise one million euros on the TV show Dragons' Den.
Driving Dutch Design
After five years of entrepreneurship, Jasper van ’t Wel has been selected for the Driving Dutch Design program. This professionalisation and networking initiative, organised by the Association of Dutch Designers (BNO), the Dutch Design Foundation (DDF), and the Stokroos Foundation, supports ambitious designers in navigating the world of creative entrepreneurship.
